Aimée Paret advises classical musicians at all stages of their careers, offering insight, new perspectives and access to her network for them to arrive at well-informed decisions regarding the next steps in their professional development.

An extremely curious person, Aimée is interested in personal motivations and attracted to questions that are often left unanswered: how do you approach your individual aims and challenges, why are you making the choices you make and doing what you do? In a professional context, why and how are you as a classical musician moving forward or being held back in your career?

Whether working on the basis of individual sessions or a fixed-term consultancy, Aimée’s approach is the same – to offer insight, access and support to artists and encourage them to make well-informed decisions regarding their own career development. Confidentiality and discretion are guaranteed.

Aimée has a long track-record working directly for international competitions, festivals, composers and soloists. A list of current partners can be found below.

individual sessions

Choosing an individual session allows greater flexibility at a lower cost than a fixed-term consultancy. Individual sessions typically last between 90 minutes and 2 hours and take place preferably in person (particularly the first time) or as necessary via video chat.

An individual session is well-suited to talk through questions regarding a specific challenge or topic. Examples include:

  • artist management options

  • communication strategy

  • expanding professional networks

  • critiquing audio, video and visual material

  • preparing for specific meetings or debriefing afterwards

  • tensions within an ensemble

  • contract evaluation and negotiation

fixed-term consultancy

A fixed-term consultancy lasts between 4 and 8 months and offers a more comprehensive and hands-on approach. Client and consultant work closely together to define professional goals, evaluate options and strengthen decision-making processes. Artists at a significant crossroad in their professional lives profit from an experienced, pro-active partner able to set priorities, organize a process, provide feedback and act as a sounding-board.

A fixed-term consultancy is a good option for an artist who

  • has just won a major competition and does not yet have management

  • is facing a change in management

  • is about to expand into a new area such as composing, conducting, or running a festival

  • has been working without management and needs fresh input and strategic guidance
