Biography

biography

Aimee Paret’s international career in classical music began in 1988 with an internship coordinating the Frankfurt production of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Montag aus Licht. After this trial by fire she spent another four years working with acclaimed international composers, conductors and soloists including Claudio Abbado, Martha Argerich, Pierre Boulez, Elliott Carter, Thomas Hampson, Lucia Popp, Georg Solti and many others in concert and video production at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.

Subsequently Aimee headed Teldec Classics’ international artist promotion department, working particularly closely with Nikolaus Harnoncourt;  ran PR campaigns for Sir Roger Norrington and RSO Stuttgart; managed the Sydney Symphony’s audio and video recording activities; and worked with the University of the Arts Berlin to establish the International Conducting Academy Berlin. From 2016 - 2020 she organised Tabea Zimmermann’s chamber music festival “Die Beethoven-Woche” at the Beethoven-Haus Bonn.

In 2010 she began advising soloists and conductors on career development and completed her training in coaching, mediation and conflict management at Inmedio Berlin in 2013.

Currently Aimee provides career guidance to the winners of the Mahler, Besançon and Rotterdam international conducting competitions;  advises the “Franz Schubert and Modern Music” chamber music competition in Graz, Austria; works with Sir András Schiff on his Building Bridges concert series supporting young pianists; and supports Brett Dean’s various activities as composer, conductor and instrumentalist. In her Berlin office she offers individual sessions in English, German or French on management issues and career development to soloists, ensembles and conductors at all stages of their careers.

Born and raised in Northern California, Aimee studied piano, clarinet and voice and has a Bachelor of Arts in cultural history from Yale University.
