biography

Combining her love of music and expertise in the classical music industry with training in coaching, mediation and conflict management, Aimée started her artist consultancy business in 2010. Her current clients include conductors, soloists, composers, ensembles, international competitions and conservatories. In addition to asking questions as well as listening carefully and critically during sessions, she provides information and guidance on such topics as:

- fee negotiation
- concert, management and recording contracts
- artist agencies
- communication
- media strategy
- conflict mediation.

Aimée Paret’s international career in classical music began with an internship coordinating the Frankfurt production of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Montag aus Licht. After this trial by fire she spent another four years working with acclaimed international composers, conductors and soloists including Claudio Abbado, Martha Argerich, Pierre Boulez, Elliott Carter, Brigitte Fassbaender, Thomas Hampson, Lucia Popp, Georg Solti and many others at the Alte Oper Frankfurt.   

Subsequently Aimée headed Teldec Classics’ international artist promotion department, working particularly closely with Nikolaus Harnoncourt;  ran PR campaigns for Sir Roger Norrington; and managed the Sydney Symphony’s CD label and live streaming .

From 2016 until 2020 she organised Tabea Zimmermann’s chamber music festival “Die Beethoven-Woche” at the Beethoven-Haus Bonn. From 2016 until 2026 she oversaw “Building Bridges”, Sir András Schiff’s counter-initiative to competitions, which offers recital opportunities across Europe to three pianists per season.

Today Aimée provides career guidance to the winners of the Mahler, Besançon and Rotterdam international conducting competitions and the Leeds International Piano Competition;  advises the Prague Spring Festival; works with LIEDBasel’s academy for lied duos; and supports Brett Dean’s multifaceted career as composer, conductor and instrumentalist. In her Berlin office she offers individual sessions in English and German to soloists, ensembles and conductors at all stages of their careers.

Born and raised in Northern California, Aimée studied piano, clarinet and voice and has a Bachelor of Arts in cultural history from Yale University.
